Founded in 1919, Zonta International is a global organization of executives and professionals working together to advance the status of women worldwide through service and advocacy. With more than 31,000 members belonging to more than 1,200 Zonta Clubs in 64 countries and geographic areas, Zontians all over the world volunteer their time, talents and support to local and international service projects, as well as scholarship programs aimed at fulfilling Zonta’s mission and objectives.
East Valley Zontians live or work in the cities and communities east of Phoenix, Arizona, including Ahwatukee, Chandler, Fountain Hills, Gilbert, Mesa, Queen Creek, Scottsdale, and Tempe. Our diverse membership represents various industries such as accounting, banking, education, financial services, insurance, law, real estate, as well as private business owners.
Meetings are held in a location central to most of the club members, and local service contributions and activities remain within the local communities.
The Zonta Club of the East Valley is part of Area 6, which also has clubs in Casa Grande, Phoenix, Tucson, and Nogales. Area 6 is one of seven geographical areas in District 9. Our District covers Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Utah, and Northern Sonora, Mexico.
